John is an Engineer by day and photographer by morning and night. John has 10+ years experience as a professional photographer. Based in Washington, DC, John has a variety of shooting locations that he is happy to suggest based on your style. John is a "jack of all trades" in photography and leverages his experience shooting portraits, headshots, weddings, fashion, food, landscapes, wildlife, and families to compose and capture amazing images of his subjects. His strong background in electronics and design combined with his engineering creativity complement his photography, both in the technical aspect of working with the camera and the creative aspect of finding the perfect shot. John is super easy going, fun, and professional. He'll make you comfortable in front of the lens so you have a great time shooting, and he'll work with you to capture an image which showcases your good looks and personality.

First and foremost I love getting to know my clients so that you are comfortable and we get natural shots. I promise not to rush and will work with you to find the perfect shots that compliment your personality and body type. I come prepared with a variety of poses that I can walk you through to ensure your image is inviting, warm, and achieves your goals for the shoot. We can take short breaks throughout the shoot to stretch your smile muscles and to look through photos together for poses which we both think work best for you. I'll be sure to coordinate with you prior to the shoot so that we are aligned on the shooting location and time.
